Pay close attention... P1/ P38... Same gun.  New Government, new serial system...BUT same gun. Aside from some very small feature changes, in way the mag loads and a slightly improved hammer-drop safety.   ALSO, the slides and barrels from war time p38's will match up to P1 grips.... HOWEVER... P1 made parts have a very limited backwards compatibility...   Much like Windows 8, trying to run some older programs for XP... damn them.  Then I used my p.38 to shoot my old printer.
